Floyd Wesley Bird's Obituary
Floyd Bird, 83, of Annandale, passed away Wednesday May 12, 2010 at his home.
He served in the United States Navy from 1944 – 1946. Floyd also worked for the federal government with the Department of Transportation.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cleatis; a son, Brian, and three grandchildren, Kyle, Devin and Stefan Bird.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Rae Bird, and two brothers, Gerald and Kenneth Bird.
A memorial service for Floyd will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 10:30 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8304 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield with Pastor Ken Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfax Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Lung Association, 10340 Democracy Lane #203, Fairfax, VA 22030.
