Florence Louise Edwards' Obituary
Florence Louise Edwards, 67, of Culpeper died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born August 15, 1938 in Pryor, Oklahoma to the late Dennis Lee and Madge Osborne Edwards.
Florence was a gifted opera singer and received her degree in music at Mars Hill Music College. She derived great satisfaction and fulfillment from using her musical talents to instruct a children’s choir. She was also a talented pianist and enjoyed giving lessons. She retired from the government as an editor for the Army Department.
She is survived by one niece, Darlene S. Edwards and her husband, Marc of Hume, VA, grand nieces, Michelle Mardeusz of Mineral and Ashleigh Stancliff of Bealeton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin L. Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Culpeper Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Fuson officiating.
Interment will follow in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA.
