Florence Settle Richards' Obituary
Mrs. Florence Settle Richards, 92, went to join the angels in heaven on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She was born December 19, 1925 in Culpeper County.
She is survived by four children, Harold Thomas “H.T.” Brown, Jr. (Betty) of Massies Mill, Pamela Tevis Cole (Rob) of Culpeper, William Stansbury Richards (Dale Fox) of Fredericksburg, and Patricia Vacole Pearson (Howard) of Goldvein; one sister, Alice Lowe of Chantilly, five grandchildren, Florence Hernandez (Jesse), Tommy Brown (Lori), Stephanie Jewell (AJ), Tevis Cole and Teddy Pearson; eight great grandchildren; Kristen, Kaitlyn, Karmen, Sarah, Thomas, Guinevere, Chloe and Penelope; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie Lucile Wolfrey Settle and Benjamin Franklin Settle; her first husband, Harold Thomas Brown; her second husband, William Tevis “Bill” Richards; and nine siblings.
Mrs. Richards retired from Culpeper Memorial Hospital where she was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 30 years. She was a loving mother dedicated to her family and always had concern and care for others. She supported many charities, locally and nationally.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Pearson, Tevis Cole, AJ Jewell, Jesse Hernandez, Dale Fox and Tommy Brown.
