Fleda "Pete" Rayburn Wise's Obituary
Fleda “Pete” Rayburn Wise, 82 of Culpeper died Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1937 in Culpeper County to the late Cover and Elizabeth Dodson.
She is survived by four children, Joseph Wise, Lynn Wise Simms (John), Kathryn Wise Keller (Milton), and Michael Bergman (Katrina); three sisters, Laura Cole (Jack), Ida Mehl (Elmer), and Janice Hastings (Don). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wise; one brother, Cover Dudley Dodson, Jr., and one sister, Elsie Rush.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Milton Keller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pete’s name to the H.O.P.E. Center for Cancer Care, 545 Sunset Ln Ste 102, Culpeper, VA 22701.
