Farrell Lee Payne Sr.'s Obituary
Farrell Lee Payne, Sr., 86, of Culpeper had his earthly life end Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was born March 19, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Norman Ashby Payne and the late Leah Gore Payne.
He was a contractor/builder by trade. He was a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church and loved riding his Honda motorcycle.
Mr. Payne is survived by his wife of 60 years, Emma Lou Hixson Payne. Additional survivors include three sons: Farrell Payne, Jr. of Amherst, Virginia; Ronnie Payne and his wife, Mary, of Culpeper, and Tim Payne and his wife, Vicky, also of Culpeper. He is also survived by two beloved grandchildren, Franco Payne of Culpeper and Emma Faye Payne of San Diego, California. Other survivors include five sisters: Evelyn Rodda of Fredericksburg, June Breeden of Reva, Beverly Chesser of Anderson, South Carolina, Sue Snyder, and Linda Lieb of Culpeper, and one brother, Norman A. Payne, Jr. of Culpeper.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jesse Colwell officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Snyder, Jerry Powers, Glen Bankhead, Tom Grady, Peter Stover and Glen Payne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
