Fannie Gallihugh Settle's Obituary
Fannie Gallihugh Settle, 86 of Culpeper, died Friday November 25, 2011 at the Dogwood Village of Orange County.
Fannie was born December3, 1924 in Madison County to the late Weldon T. and Corrie S. Gallihugh.
Fannie was a lifelong member of the Country Garden Club in Brandy Station, a Charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Brandy Station Fire and a volunteer for the Culpeper Regional Hospital for fifteen years.
Fannie is survived by her son, Larry G. Settle and his wife Sheri of Culpeper and her grandchildren Steven G. Settle and Leanne N. Settle both of Russell County and her step-grandchildren John Clouser and Ginger Elliot and her husband Josh and two step-great grandchildren, Jake and Josie Elliot all of Culpeper.
Fannie is also survived by her loving Aunt Martha Huffman of Madison and her sister-in-law Dorothy Gallihugh, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and loving friends.
In addition to her parents Fannie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert B. Settle and their other son, Steven V. Settle and her five siblings one sister Ruby Compton and four brothers, Iverson, Cornelius, Elvin and Lindsay.
The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with a Graveside funeral service following at Fairview Cemetery at 2pm with the Pastor Randy Orndorff officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 19, Brandy Station, Virginia 22714.
