Everett Milton Gore's Obituary
Everett Milton Gore, 91, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born on July 20, 1933, in Madison, VA, Milton was the son of the late Albert Byrd Gore and Neda Glen Corbin Gore.
Milton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He leaves behind his daughters, Deborah (Bill) Cassidy and Becky (Willis) Bedsaul; grandchildren, Drew Cassidy (Chelsea), Meagan Lenertz (Chris), and Jacqueline Bedsaul; great-grandchildren, Ella Grace, Reagan, Wren, and Altan; siblings, Ray Gore Sr, Winfrey Gore, and Linda Bazzle; brother-in-law, Sam Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Milton was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Lou Gore. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Garland Gore, Mickey Gore, and Otis Gore Sr.; and sisters, Sylvia Norris, Helen Hart, Arline Rupard, Dorothy Jenkins, Eunice Jenkins, Christine Corbin, and Lois Jenkins.
Raised on a farm, Milton developed a strong work ethic. He served in the Korean War and later worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation, managing sign fabrication for 12 counties.
A lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church, Milton dedicated over 40 years to teaching youth Sunday school and serving in various church roles. He was a founding member of the Reva Volunteer Fire and Rescue and was known for gathering his nieces and nephews for church and games, leaving lasting memories and values.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Brigid Correll, Julia Gore, Trinity Hospice, and others who cared for him at The Culpeper, Spring Arbor Cottages, and ManorHouse.
Milton’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Reva, VA, with Pastor Adam Meisberger officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Milton’s warmth, kindness, and faith touched many lives. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
