Evelyn Mae Yowell's Obituary
Evelyn Mae Yowell, age 82 of Culpeper passed away in the early morning hours of October 22, 2014. Evelyn was born January 11, 1932 in Madison to Lester B. Yowell and Mazie M. Weakley Yowell.
She graduated from Culpeper County High School before going to work for Rosenberg’s, a local clothing store of the time, where she was employed for many years. Evelyn had a knack for finding just the right color, fit, and style of clothing to suit anyone, which was a talent that she retained and demonstrated over the years by way of her wonderful gift-giving to family members. She had been a member of Novum Baptist Church in her youth. Evelyn was a quiet and private person possessing a very caring soul. She will be remembered for the warm and cheerful smile that she could flash upon meeting.
She is survived by a sister, Louise Jenkins and her husband, Jimmy, of Brightwood and a brother, Randolph Yowell of Culpeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lester “Gus” Yowell.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 PM, October 28, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
