Evelyn V. Payne's Obituary
Evelyn V. Payne, 81, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Golden Living Healthcare Center.
She was a member of Waller’s Baptist Church where she helped with vacation bible school because she had a special way with small children. Evelyn enjoyed embroidering and cooking and had an exceptionally green thumb.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda F. Lewter of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Hilda and Janet Beasley, both of Partlow; a grandson, Richard Lewter of Fredericksburg; a granddaughter, Rebecca Pitzer of Tennessee; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet and Lois.
A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Waller’s Baptist Church Cemetery.
