Evelyn Gaines' Obituary
Evelyn Mae Gaines, 78 of Culpeper, died on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1930 in Front Royal, VA to the late John Thomas Dodson and Sarah Deavers Dodson.
Mrs. Gaines had a wonderful heart that she welcomed everyone into. She made everyone her family and touched their lives in many ways. She had no enemies and was loved by all, especially her grandchildren who know her as the best grandmother in the world!
She is survived by her 6 children, Joyce Fournier and her husband, Rick of Frederick, MD, Frances Adams and her husband, Benny of Culpeper, Carolyn Long and her husband, Tim of Sykesville, MD, Regina Oliver and her husband, Lewis of Greenville, TN, Gerald Gaines and his wife, Karin of Greenville, NC and Edward Gaines and his wife, Jackie of Winchester, VA.
Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren, Dawn Moore, Sheri Armstrong, Michael Jones, Benny Adams, Jr., Kimberly Robeson, Nicole Ensor, Nikki Taylor, Tiffany Burgess, Bo Oliver, Kelly Gaines, Shawn Gaines, Jodi Gaines, Randy Gaines and Kyle Gaines, 14 great grandchildren, 7 siblings, Charles Dodson, Mary Baker, John Dodson, Emma Jean Boone, Betty Ann Chamberlain, Roger Dodson and Gaylen Dodson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gaines, and 3 siblings, Nanna Dodson, Louise Jones, and Harry Dodson.
