Evelyn Elizabeth Embrey's Obituary
Evelyn Elizabeth Embrey, 89, of Fredericksburg went to be with her Lord and savior on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who adored spending time with her family. She was also a member of Eastland United Methodist Church.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Rodney F. Embrey, and Judy A. Price (Doug); two sisters, Thelma Randall (Jack) and Barbara Thomas (John); two brothers, Ted Dillard (Dot) and Howard Dillard (Rita). She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Tammy Levins, Kimberly Maslock (Reggie), Chad Price (Jessica), Wendy Ellers (Kevin), and Ashley Embrey, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Lambert F. Embrey; sons, John E. Jackson, and William “Billy” H. Jackson; a brother Emmitt Dillard, and a sister, Hazel Eubank.
Evelyn’s family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, 22407. A funeral will be held starting at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Sunset Memorial Gardens located at 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, 22408.
