Mrs. Evelyn Mary Chewning, 91, of Spotsylvania, passed away Thursday at the home of her grandson. Originally from Bell Island, Newfoundland, Evelyn attended St. Edwards Convent School and studied business at Immaculate Conception Read Obituary
Ms. Chewing was a women with a heart of gold. She helped our family very much during a difficult time. She was always so very kind and her family too. We are very grateful for her always being a women that cared so much for so many people. ... God bless you and words can never thank you for all you did for our family.... I moved to Spotsylvania almost 30 years ago. I did construction back then and use to stop at that store all the time. She was one of the first people I met when I moved here. I am glad such a nice person had a long life.
I'm saddened to hear the news about the passing of my friend and customer Ms.Chewning. My father supplied her store with various merchandise for many years before I took the business over in 1986. I remember ''Warming up to her style" She truly operated her business that each person that came inside was family and they're presence mattered..... The conversations seemed endless. I do'nt think she knew how much she affected me. I certainly will miss her. My prayers will remain with her family.

To my beloved Aunt, You were the last member of a great generation. Now I know that there truly is wonderful, loving group of people waiting for me in heaven.
