Evangeline Somers Tutwiler's Obituary
Evangeline Somers Tutwiler, 96, of Culpeper died Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born December 5, 1918 in Culpeper to the late Dorsey S. Somers and the late Sallie Miller Somers.
Mrs. Tutwiler was a life-long member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church. She is remembered as someone who enjoyed gardening and animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed day trips with family and discussing family history.
She is survived by a grandson, Glenn Wilson and his wife, Kim Hiort-Wilson, of Sterling, and a great-granddaughter, Courtney J. Wilson. She is also survived by a sister, Josephine Settle.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Joshua Tutwiler, a daughter, Joyce Tutwiler Wilson, and a granddaughter, Wanda Kearns.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Culpeper with Pastor Kate Costa officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
