Eva Mae Dodson's Obituary
Eva Mae Dodson, 89, of Sperryville died Friday, October 15, 2010 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born January 27, 1921 in Rappahannock County to the late Rosser Clark and the late Lillian Eva Pullen Clark.
Mrs. Dodson was a member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, where she loved her church and church family. Eva worked at Rappahannock High School, Aileen and the Sperryville Packing Plant. She enjoyed travelling, but her true love was her family.
She is survived by her children, Mildred Lillian Hutt and her husband J.B. of Reva, Dorothy Campbell of Amissville, James R. “Jimmy” Dodson and his wife Frances, Lewis “Billy” Dodson and his wife Jean, and Bonnie Sue Baldwin and her husband, Danny, all of Sperryville. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Woodward of Florida, and sixteen grandchildren, Vicki Beatty, Debbie Nicholson, Gail Deal, Brenda Jenkins, Shelby Smith, Monty Hutt, Wanda Jenkins, Ronnie Dodson, Sandy Falls, Cindy McGhee, Greg, Brian and Dawn Dodson, and Andy, Kenneth and Jason Baldwin.
Additional survivors include twenty-five great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John “Ollie” Newman Dodson, two sisters, Vennie Dodson and Elsie Atkins, and three brothers, Allie “Joe”, Amos and Cletus Clark.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville with Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment will follow at Sperryville Cemetery.
