Mike at Merchant’s in 2005 when our family moved to Culpeper.
From the first visit to Merchant’s to nearly 15 years later, Mike has been extremely helpful with all of my vehicles, providing great advice, never was too busy to spend the time to discuss any concern, and even gave us a ride home on many occasions. He was the embodiment of customer service!
It was a pleasure to get know Mike and he will be missed.

You were my life for many years. Thank you for the happy memories. I saw you work at Firestone as a tire changer and earn all the ASE certifications. Then you moved into management. You never forgot the little people in life and believed in being honest with all your customers.
Rest in peace ...you were one of a kind. The world will not be the same without YOU!!
My thoughts and prayers to his family and coworkers over the passing of Mike. I met Mike at Merchants Tire when I moved to Culpeper in 2005. He was a honest man and worked to help keep his customers happy. I recommended him to everyone. Found out that we were related to some of the same folks through marriage. I know he i in a better place now and not suffering anymore. Left us way to soon!
So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Knew Mike as a customer for over 30 years. Met Mike when he worked for Firestone. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Mike was a good man who always treated everyone with dignity and respect.

Mike God had you in the palm of his hand during your hard journey the last year. I knew you enough to know you were a hard worker, a loving husband and a great father. You will definitely be missed but I know you are no longer suffering.
Michael, Since Sunday morning I can’t help but think of memories of our childhood. I look back over the past 50 years and remember you as such a good boy, a good man and a good friend. Growing up, you were the perfect son, the perfect brother and the perfect neighbor. Often times, you made life a little challenging for the rest of us neighborhood kids. Words cannot describe the void you leave behind for so many, especially your family. You fought so hard and stayed so positive, and now you have peace. Thank you for the positive role you played in our community and in our lives. Thank you for being my friend for so many years. My deepest sympathy to your friends and your family.
My husband and I have been taking our cars to Merchant’s Tire since 2002 when we moved here. Mike was by far one of the most honest men I have ever met. Always treated us fairly and did us many favors along the way. Always asked about our kids. It was nice to exchange pleasantries in a business environment. We've missed him the past years but are happy that he had time to spend with his family.
We ran into him at the Culpeper Theaters years ago where he was getting ready to see a movie with his son. You could tell he was happy to have the day off and have his son be his only priority.
We are wishing many happy thoughts and sympathies to his entire family and his extended family at NTB.
