Eugene Ronald Hall's Obituary
Eugene Ronald Hall, 85 of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Eugene had many interests, but most important in his life was his love for his wife and family. He enjoyed photography and had his own dark room for developing photos. He loved being outdoors and had many favorite pastimes, from fishing and camping, to frisbee (disc) golf, and especially geology.
After his career as an engineer with telecom industries, his scientific mind took an interest in mineral and gemology. He loved crystals and learned to be a silversmith, starting a business of jewelry making and repair. Perhaps one of his favorite things to do was flying. He earned his private pilot license and absolutely loved the times he was able to go for a flight.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Valerie; three sons, Bruce Hall of Manassas, Gary Hall of Annandale, and Mark Hall of Spotsylvania County; grandson, Joseph Carter (Ice) of Springfield; and many other family members and close friends.
Eugene’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, Eugene’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Catholic Church, 9600 Caritas Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
