Ethel Wayland
Ethel Golden Wayland , 79, of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday October 9 , 2014 at Wilburn Gardens of Fredericksburg. She was born April 21, 1935 in Culpeper to the late Cooper Ashby Jenkins and Bessie Jenkins .Mrs. Wayland was predeceased in 2003 by her husband John Nathan Wayland.
Mrs. Wayland is survived by her sons Wayne Wayland and his wife Bet of Fredericksburg; Warren Wayland and his wife Renee’ of Fredericksburg ; Derrick Wayland and his wife Ann of Fredericksburg ; and Clyde Wayland of Caroline County, VA. In addition Mrs. Wayland is survived by two sisters, Mary Frances Tovar of Locust Grove ; and Anna Covington of Culpeper; as well as one brother George Jenkins also of Culpeper. Additional survivors include 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.
Upon the morning of her passing , a flag was flown atop the U. S. Capitol to honor her memory.
A Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel 850 Sperryville Pike , Culpeper , VA by Rev. Dave Wheatley and Mr. Michael Albycht. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
