Ethel Stringfellow's Obituary
Ethel Stringfellow, 89, of Manassas, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She was born June 28, 1931 to the late Earl and Lizzie Tharp.
Ethel enjoyed animals, especially her cats. She loved music and dancing. With one of the kindest hearts around, she was always there for her children whenever they needed her.
Ethel is survived by three daughters, Linda Glascock (Larry), Shirley Glascock (Wayne) and Bridget Crane; two brothers, Charles Tharp (Peggy) and Edward Tharp; one sister, Josephine Mann; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Lewis Stringfellow; and her life partner, Ashby “Frank” Hoffman; two daughters, Elizabeth Jenkins and Mary Catherine Creel; one sister, Lillian Lee; one brother, Earl “ Buck” Tharp; and one brother-in-law, Jim Mann.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia, with Pastor Nate Viar officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required to enter the building. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Henry Moore, J. T. Jenkins, Paul Jenkins, Bobby Kline, Candice Pittman, and Tyler Crane. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Glascock and Edward Tharp.
