Ethel Mae Jenkins' Obituary
Ethel Mae Jenkins, 90, of Culpeper passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Dogwood Villiage of Orange County. She was born May 10, 1932 to the late Charles Bryan and Effie Robey Johnson in Fairfax, VA.
Ethel retired from the Culpeper County Public School System as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. She loved to travel with her husband of sixty-eight years. Ethel enjoyed taking care of her family.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Sharon Snoderly (James) and Lisa Setzer (Tim); grandchildren, Chad Lee (Ashlee), Allison Snoderly, Kara Dulin (Luke) and Bailey Horton (Ty); great-grandchildren, Gunner, Hank, Knox, Walker, Fletcher, Finnley, Fisher, Axel, and Kai; sister, Peg Johnson Racer; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bryan Jenkins; son, Henry B. Jenkins, Jr.; and siblings, Vernon Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Charles Johnson, Jr., and Claude Johnson.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Hans Murdock will be officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ethel’s name to Culpeper Child Development Center at 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA 22701.
