Ethel Lorene Dwyer's Obituary
Ethel Lorene Dwyer, 88, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 6, 1924 in Rappahannock County to the late James Bryant and Ida Mae Dwyer Cornell.
Mrs. Dwyer was a lifetime resident of Rappahannock and worked for the Aileen factory in Flint Hill for 10 years. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, word puzzles and making quilts. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time spent with them, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by twelve children, Joyce Pullen and her husband, Edward of Washington, Katherine Gregg and her husband, Robert of Las Vegas, Betty Sisk of Sperryville, Richard Dwyer and his wife, Linda of Sperryville, Donna Hoosier and her husband, Tom of Elkwood, Emily Jenkins and her husband, Robert of Washington, Andy Dwyer and his wife, Linda of Sperryville, Edie Bedortha and her husband, Bill of Huntly, Jim Dwyer and his wife, Kim of Washington, Jeanie Maxey and her husband, Floyd of Luray, Jeff Dwyer of Sperryville, and Anna Pullen of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include five sisters, Eleanor Beahm, Katherine Waters and Mary Jane Waters, all of Luray, Pat Atkins and her husband, Dickie of Culpeper and Jenny Frazier of Front Royal, nineteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson Dwyer, one son, Thomas Bryant Dwyer, two sisters, Frances Morris and Grace Woodward, and one grandchild, Emily Elizabeth Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Gary Utz officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
