Ester Doucet Via's Obituary
Ester Doucet Via, 86 of Culpeper died Friday, May 16, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born August 12, 1927 in Washington D.C. to the late Charles and Cora Doucet.
Ester was a homemaker by choice and was the most spirited of souls having been so caring and nurturing. She was such a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, yet mostly the best wife and friend one could ever ask for.
She is survived by her husband, James Owen Via; four children, Robert Lee Via and his wife, Lynn, Randall Harvey Via and his wife, Linda, Sandra Via Edwards, all of Culpeper and Jeanette Via Irish and her husband, Gordon of Ashburn, VA; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Via of Lovettsville, VA; one sister, Rosalee Carlisle of Elsworth, ME; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a number of extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Ronald Via; and one sister, Delores Barker.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
