Essie Mae Newcomer's Obituary
Essie Mae Newcomer, 81, of Culpeper died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 11, 1930 in Rappahannock County to the late Bernice Samuel and Josephine Wharton Newcomer.
Ms. Newcomer was a member of Amissville Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed tending to her home and participating in her church activities.
She is survived by two sisters, Pearl Sembower of Culpeper and Darlene Bittinger and her husband, Anthony of Martinsburg, WV, two nieces, Sabrina Bittinger and Ashley Bittinger, one nephew, Anthony Bittinger, Jr., one great nephew, Wayland Samuel Bittinger and many other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Harrison Holden Sembower.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor J.T. Pittman, II and Rev. Willie Tatem officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
