Ernest Allen Gibson's Obituary
Ernest, known to many as Gib, Gip, Pops, or Skipper, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at the Culpeper Rehab Center. He was born December 17, 1943, to the late Ernest Washington and Carrie Gibson.
He was a beloved figure in our community, and he leaves behind 6 step-children whom he loved as his own, along with many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Gibson and George Gibson; and other extended family and friends.
Grandpa Ernest truly embraced country living. He could always be found riding his lawn mower with the biggest smile and his favorite hat on his head or enjoying peaceful moments fishing. His love for the simple pleasures in life brought joy to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
Unfortunately, Grandpa did not have savings or life insurance to help cover funeral expenses, and we are struggling to manage the costs of his burial and final arrangements. We are humbly asking for any financial assistance you may be able to offer. Your support would mean the world to us as we honor his memory and say our goodbyes.
Thank you for your kindness, thoughts, and prayers during this time.
An online guestbook and tribute wall are available at www.foundandsons.com
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
