Erma H. Jenkins' Obituary
Erma H. Jenkins, 92 of Washington, Virginia died Monday, October 03, 2011 at her daughter’s home.
Erma was born May 20, 1919 in Rappahannock County to the late William and Delsey Butler Hitt.
Erma is survived by her daughter, Alice C. Butler of Washington, Virginia and her three grandchildren; Jeffery Lewis Butler and his wife Oxana of Washington, Virginia, Phillip Keith Butler of Amissville, Virginia and Alicia Butler McGuire and her husband Kevin of Vienna, Virginia, also surviving her are five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews including one that was especially close to her, Bobby Weakley and his wife, Stevie of Fredericksburg.
Erma was one of thirteen children her sister Lucille Kube and her brother Downing W. Hitt survive her.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Erma is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Washington Baptist Church, 180 Gay Street Washington, Virginia, with Rev. Phillip Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow at the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to the Washington Baptist Church, P.O. Box 209, Washington, Virginia 22747.
