Eric George Minkes' Obituary
Eric George Minkes, 64, of Richardsville, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Eric was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed John Deere tractors and light houses. He patriotically served his country in the U.S. Air Force and dedicated his entire adult life to defending his country.
Eric is survived by his wife of 20 years, Daniela; a daughter, Megan Rose Minkes of Fairfax; three sons, Eric Jan Minkes of California, Trevor Michael Fare and his wife Liz of Orange and Ryan James Fare and his wife Lindsay of Culpeper; one brother, Donald Vonk; two sisters, Marilynn Cripps and Susie Buyers; three grandchildren, Mason James Fare, Declan Carter Fare and Averyn Elise Fare; a grand puppy, Crash and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents Henry and June Minkes and his nephew Anthony Bracaloni.
Eric’s family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday March 7, 2014 and Saturday, March 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Denise Vogt officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers Eric’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his name to your local SPCA Chapter.
