Eric George Fries' Obituary
Eric George Fries, 62, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Eric enjoyed going to the beach, and anything to do with the ocean including fishing, and lighthouses. He treasured going up to the mountains to visit his mother's resting place, visiting his beloved hometown of Savannah and Tybee Island, GA, and eating great food with his friends and family.
Eric was a people person, who never met a stranger and was beloved by all that knew him. He was always willing to help those in need in any capacity that he could.
Eric is survived by his sons, Derek and Jason Fries; brother, Ricky Fries; sisters, Marsha Schuldt and Judy Brayton; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fries; father, Brevard "Tony" Fries; and brother, Bo Fries.
Due to COVID 19 a memorial service will be held with his immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, Eric’s family wishes that people would donate to their local food bank to help those whose jobs and livelihoods were affected by the ongoing pandemic.
