Emmett Taylor Martin, Jr.'s Obituary
Emmett Taylor Martin, Jr. 72, of Culpeper went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 22, 2008. He was born on September 17, 1936 to the late Emmett Taylor Martin, Sr. and Lilly Mildred Martin.
He served in the United States Army Airborne Division, was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church where he served as trustee and worked for AA Beiro Contracting for over 30 years.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edith Bobbitt Martin, his daughter, Vanessa Deane and her husband, James, his sons, Gregory Martin and his wife, Malissa, Emmett Patrick Martin and his wife, Robin, and Timothy John Martin, all of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include thirteen grandchildren, Tiffany Moore and her husband, Lee, Kelly Backe and her husband, Trent, Casey Martin and Anthony, Jacob Martin, Luke Martin, Heather Seation and her husband, Jeff, T.J. Martin and his fiancé, Angela Brown, Kristen Martin, James Deane, Joshua Deane, Jordan Elizabeth Deane, Lucas McCulley and Kelsey McCulley, all of Culpeper. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, his sister, Anna Lee Woolf of Leesburg, a special friend, Mickey Azbell of Port St. Lucie, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Martin, Rufus Martin and William “Billy” Martin, sister, Elizabeth Bunch, brother-in-law, Robert Bobbitt, a daughter-in-law, Donna Martin, and special friends, Dave and Lorene Clatterbuck.
Interment will follow in Woodland United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Seation, Lee Moore, Trent Backe, Kendal Peyton, Greg Bunch, and Philip Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be William Martin and Kelly Woolf.
