Emanuel Lee Jones' Obituary
Emanuel Lee Jones, 37, of Culpeper, died Thursday, March 10, 2022. He was born May 25, 1984 in Charlottesville to the late Sherman Jones Jr. and Joyce Jones.
Emanuel loved working and being outside. He enjoyed watching football and basketball, dressing up, and cutting his hair. He always had to have his fresh kicks as well as fresh hats. Emanuel loved his family and spending time with his granddaughter.
Emanuel is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ashley Jones; one son, Khalil Boone; two grandchildren, Anastasia Boone and Kha’rim Boone; four siblings, Shamane Goodall Dorsey (Marshall); Naomi Jones Minjarez (Rene), Shaquille Jones Frye, and Shawn Scott; 5 uncles, Demond Blakey, Samuel Jones, Anthony Jones, James Jones and Joseph Jones; five aunts, Sharon Jones, Patricia Blakey, Cheryl Jones, Cynthia Williams and Charlotte Goodman (Ray); father in law, Archie Dodson; sisters in law, Amanda Kreitz (Robert), and Taylor Nicole Dodson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Sherman Jones and Wallace and Lillian Blakey; and mother in law, Elaine Dodson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Frank Lewis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dashaun Blakey, Davon Blakey, Jarrod Blakey, Shaquille Jones, Marshall Dorsey and Kajuan Stinnie.
A Repass will be held following the graveside service at George James Community Center Inc., 1215 George James Loop, Radiant, VA 22732.
