Elsie Blanche Curtis' Obituary
Elsie Blanche Curtis, 87, of Spotsylvania County, was reunited with her husband of 63 years, George C. Curtis, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg.
Elsie lived for her family and was always there for them or a friend in need. She loved coordinating annual reunions of Morganstern Pants Factory for the staff.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, and nanny. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Curtis (Connie) of Mississippi, Charlene Snyder of Fredericksburg, Sherry Lunsford (Lawrence) of Spotsylvania, and Terry Curtis (Toni) of Mineral; sister-in-law, Brenda Sullivan of Richmond; her first cousin, Beverley Bradshaw; two cousins, W.D. Taylor and Edith McCosh, both of Richmond; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Curtis; and her brother, Randolph Raines.
Elsie’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the funeral chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Elsie’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
