Elmer Sylvester Dyer's Obituary
Elmer Sylvester Dyer, 59, of Culpeper died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born March 27, 1950, in Charlottesville to the late Guy Lee Dyer and the late Ida Bell Nicholson Dyer Berry.
Mr. Dyer enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Catherine Sue (Salmons) Dyer, his children Wendy Sue Vest and her husband, Lawrence of Rixeyville, Tanya Lynn Bauer of Culpeper and Daniel Lee Dyer of Harrisonburg.
Additional survivors included his sisters Diane Sharp and her husband, Gerald and Agnes Shelton and her husband, George, his 6 granddaughters, Heather Michelle Bauer, Sara Marie Bauer, Megan Elizabeth Bauer, Ashley May Haun and her husband, Cody, Samantha Erin Vest and Tiffany Starr Vest, and his great granddaughter Sophie Geneva Haun.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Guy Odell Dyer.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, 22701.
A service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11a.m. at Found and sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in the First Century Baptist Church Cemetery in Stevensburg.
