Ellwood "Skip" McCellan Giarth Jr.'s Obituary
Ellwood McCellan “Skip” Giarth, Jr., 84, of Culpeper, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 16, 1941, to the late Ellwood McCellan Giarth, Sr., and Marian Reffner Walker in Washington, D.C.
Skip worked as a U.S. Park Policeman until his retirement and took great pride in his career.
Skip is survived by his son, Michael Giarth; sister, Denise Hartless (Robert); nephew, Robert Hartless, Jr.; niece, Jennifer R. Montgomery, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, “Skip” was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Burch
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
