Elizabeth Ann Ferlazzo Judd's Obituary
Elizabeth “Lizza” Ferlazzo Judd, 46, of Culpeper died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 9, 1963 in Chapel Hill, NC to Dr. A.V. Philip Ferlazzo, DDS and Virginia Kirby Ferlazzo of Culpeper.
Lizza was a 1981 graduate of Culpeper County High School and later attended Radford University. She has been a teacher for the past 22 years working in Chesterfield County and currently at Pearl Sample Elementary School teaching kindergarten where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2003. She attended Culpeper United Methodist Church, loved decorating with her artistic ability to make things beautiful, and above all was completely devoted to her children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, John Judd, her children, Kaitlyn Mackenzie Curnow of Culpeper, Alexander Scott Curnow of Culpeper and Phillip Chandler Curnow of Midlothian, and her stepson, Alex Judd of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include her brothers, David Anthony Ferlazzo and his wife, Kelli of Culpeper, Mark Gregory Ferlazzo of Herndon, and Andrew Damian Ferlazzo and his wife, Elizabeth of Culpeper, aunts and uncles, Jeffery and Debbie Ferlazzo and Dr. Stephen and Janis Ferlazzo, all of Woodbridge, the father of her children, Phillip Scott Curnow of Midlothian and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper with Pastor Randy Orndorff and Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Ferlazzo, Mark Ferlazzo, Andrew Ferlazzo, Daniel Ferlazzo, Worth Richardson and Trey Hundley.
