Elizabeth Ann Wood's Obituary
On Monday March 11, 2024, Elizabeth A. Wood, 86, went to be with the Lord. She passed peacefully at home while surrounded by family.
Elizabeth was born April 4, 1937 to Church and Essie Woolfrey. In 1955 she married George Wood, and together they had nine children, numerous grandchildren, even more great-grandchildren, and a few great-great grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a loving mother and grandmother to all. She was a faithful member of Grace Chapel in Fredericksburg, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Catherine; brother, William; her husband of 60 years; and their oldest son, Robert.
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Carter Cemetery at Ada, Marshall, VA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to, Grace Chapel, 271 Warrenton Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
