Elizabeth Harlin Vance
Elizabeth Harlin Vance 89 of Haymarket Va. passed away Tuesday November25, 2008 at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehab Center of Leesburg Virginia.
She was born in Lebanon Tennessee on April 17,1919. She lived in Amelia Virginia then moved to Fairfax Va. and spent the last 30 years in the Prince William County area.
Elizabeth was a member of the Red Hat Club, Homemakers womens club in Haymarket and also a member of the patient council at Heritage Hall of Leesburg. She was a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles. She loved her jack russell “Jackson”. She was known for her support of her husband, family and friends.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years John B. Vance, a daughter Francis Vance Flippen; two sons, John B. Vance Jr. and William Harlin Vance. Survivors include: a daughter, Betty Vance Bennett of Burkeville, Va.; three sons, Zeb Lee Vance of Florida, Robert Edward Vance and Richard Chambers Vance both of Haymarket VA. Other survivors include twenty grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday November 28, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel 8521 Sudley Road Manassas, Virginia 20109. A funeral service will be held Saturday November 29, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
