Elizabeth Myers' Obituary
Elizabeth “Libby” Myers, 82, of Spotsylvania, VA passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Myers, Jr. (Stephanie); her daughter-in-law; Barbara Myers (Clayton); her grandchildren, Amanda Roop, Tonya Curtis, Amy Foley (Drew), and Douglas Dillon Myers, III (Mia); great-grandchildren, Autumn (Ira), Dale Jr. (Allison), Logan, Regan, Kenley, Tucker, Kelsey, Easton, Ty, Brantley, Libby Lyn, Cash, and Tate; great, great-grandchildren, Oakley, Maddox, and Kaylix; her siblings, Allen (Linda) and Sydney (Nancy); caregiver and great friend, Sharon Fincham; and several nieces and nephews.
Libby is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Douglas “Gertie” Myers, Sr., and we can only imagine the smile he had on his face when she entered those heavenly gates. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Sarah Seale, and her sister, Carol Ann Crane.
She loved her family fiercely and always put them first. She had a love for traveling and a couple of her favorite places were Alaska and Hawaii. Libby was a Godly woman, who led by example and spoke the word of Christ to her grandchildren so they learned to have a relationship with the Lord. Her family's memories with her and the many people she came into contact with, will live on forever. Even though her passing saddens us, we know she is no longer in any pain or suffering.
Libby worked in sales for many years. She worked at J.T. General Store, where she was a top salesperson for several years. Her last job before retirement was for Adelphia Cable.
