Elizabeth "Libby" H. Jenkins' Obituary
Elizabeth “Libby” H. Jenkins, of Culpeper passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Libby was born on December 21, 1929 in Fauquier County to the late Franklin Campbell Hitt and Dorothy Pearl Hitt.
Libby was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother (nana). She is survived by her daughter, Avis Gould, of Spotsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Beatrice Estes, of Culpeper; her grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins, Michelle Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Mary Linn, Crystal Shafer, and Jenny Gould; great grandchildren, Diamond Campbell, Keagan James, Gavin Rogers, Jaylin Rubio, Devin Miller, and Kaylee Miller. Libby is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Libby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd William Jenkins; her son, Floyd “Will” William Jenkins, Jr.; and all five of her brothers and sisters, Lewis Hitt, Gertrude Kelley, Lee Hitt, Buster Hitt, and Betty Butler.
She was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church, as well as the Weselyan Circle.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Won Lee officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Michael Jenkins, Kevin Butler, Winfrey Hitt, Tony Rubio, Joshua Potter, and Bradley Nicholson.
