Elizabeth Love Jenkins' Obituary
Elizabeth Love Jenkins, 94 of Viewtown, VA passed peacefully at home on December 17, 2018. Daughter of the late Mae Odell Ferris and Charles Eugene Love was born on November 17, 1924 in Indian Head Maryland.
Betty lived most of her life in Maryland, and graduated from Lackey High School in June 1941. She married the love of her life John Robert Jenkins in 1942 and had two sons, John Bradley Jenkins (Caren) and Gene Patrick Jenkins (Betty Lou). Betty was an accountant at the Naval Ordinance Station for several years. After retirement they spent the remainder of their years at 'The Farm' in Rappahannock county Virginia. Betty played the piano for several years at Forest Grove Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook, homemaker and host who loved crocheting and made over 600 Afghans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Jenkins; brother, Charles Eugene Love (Annabelle); and sister, Patricia Ann Todd (Howard).
She was loved and admired by her five grandchildren, Jennifer Ida Cattrell (Korby), Chester Lee Jenkins (Brenda), John Kerrick Jenkins (Joanie), Bradley Allen Jenkins (Laurel), and Angela Joy Mann (Aaron). She was blessed with seventeen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Elder Corey Ritchie officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Forest Grove Baptist Church, 258 Forest Grove Rd., Amissville, VA 20106.
