Elizabeth Ann Blankenbaker's Obituary
Elizabeth “Ann” Bowers Blankenbaker, 71, of Culpeper, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was born June 6, 1950, in Culpeper, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Loyde Blakenbakerker; parents, John Russell Bowers, and Dorothy Mae Dodson Bowers; brothers, Ashby and Robert Bowers; nephews, Rusty Bowers, Ricky and Buckey Fincham; and niece, Faye Fincham.
She is survived by her loving children, Imy Hardy (Luke), Tazwell Blakenbaker, Heidi Blakenbaker; grandchildren, Aleyah Woodan (raised as her own daughter) Kya Rose Sfreddo, Alexa Jones, Tanner Jones, Taylor Hardy, Madison Hardy, Gracie Hardy, and Little Taz; sisters, Dottie Mae Fincham, Janet ‘Gene” Thorpe; brother, Junior Bowers and sister-in-law Brenda Bowers.
Ann was of Christian faith and will be remembered for her love of her children and grandchildren. She was a nurse/caretaker in her younger days. Ann is also known for her love to dance and how to break into the dance floor. She will also be remembered as the strong independent women who didn’t hesitate to speak her mind.
But above all, her love for her family always came first.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6-8 PM at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701 with Pastor Mark Brady officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
