Eleanor Myers' Obituary
Eleanor Lavinia Curtis Myers, 91, of Culpeper died on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Home. She was born February 9, 1917 in Culpeper, Virginia to the late Roland Lee Curtis and Maude Shaw Curtis.
Mrs. Myers was a member of Open Door Baptist Church and was active until her health failed.
She is survived by her children, Joann Weaver Myers and her husband, George, of Remington, Janice Martin and her husband, Sandy, of Culpeper, and Linda Brown and her husband, Mike, of Fredericksburg. Additional survivors include her sister-in-law, Sylvia Somerville of Clarksville, Tennessee, six grandchildren, Tammy Hicks, Matthew Hoffman, Michael Weaver, Mickey Martin, Tracie Hockaday, and Tiffanie Shriver, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Myers, her daughter, Barbara Hoffman, two sons-in-law, Woody Hoffman and Barrett Weaver, Jr., one granddaughter, Paula Bounds, and one grandson, Sandy Martin, II. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Corrine Curtis Myers, and three brothers, Roy, Claude and Paul Curtis.
