Eileen Ann McWhorter's Obituary
Eileen Ann McWhorter, age 79, passed suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from complications related to multiple health issues.
Ms. McWhorter was born on October 22, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to New Orleans where she met, married, and divorced Wayne McWhorter, a local boy. She was gifted with three children: Wayne, who pre-deceased her, Elizabeth, and Steven.
She had a "PhD degree" in making those who "did less" aware of it. A multi-talented crafter, she enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, and ceramics. She was the "Kool-Aid Mom" of the neighborhood, and was called "Super Clean Feind" by her own kids. She was proud that all of her children either served in, or were married to someone in the military, and she loved visiting them all over the country. A survivor of Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Fredericksburg, VA in 2008, where she fell in love with the hills, mountains, and fall foliage colors.
A private memorial service will be held for the family.
