Dearest Cheryl,
Sending my deepest, heartfelt condolences on the loss of your father. Even though it feels like a lifetime ago, I vividly remember always seeing a beautiful smile followed by warm, friendly greetings everytime you, Melonie and I would stop by your home preparing for our "cruzing" escapades on Friday nights. I remember finding him quite charming when in reality he probably wanted to strangle us.
As I learned with the passing of my own parents in recent years, please remember that your feelings of grief are not based on the length of time you feel that dull, throbbing pain pitted right in the middle of your heart but more so evident by the depths of your love for them that will one day soon find yourself smiling from long forgotten memory that just seems to appear out of nowhere.
