Edwin Reeves,Jr.'s Obituary
Edwin Ingle Reeves, Jr., 78, of Culpeper died Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born May 19, 1932 in Washington, D.C. to the late Edwin Ingle and Margaret Parsons Reeves.
Ed had a passion for people, printing, collecting trains and antiques. With his daughter Bonnie Gill, they established and opened the Minuteman Mini Mall in 1992 on Route 3 in Culpeper. Before the opening of the mall, Ed worked in the printing industry for over 40 years. He was a loyal member of the Masonic Lodge in Culpeper, Madison and Orange, yet traveled to various lodges in the surrounding areas. In addition to being actively involved within the community in many different areas.
Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Broce Reeves, his daughters, Wanda Reeves of Naples, FL and Susan Lutz of Culpeper, his sons, David Edwin Reeves of Culpeper, Steven Alan Reeves and his wife, Tammy also of Culpeper and two grandchildren, Regina Lutz of Newport News and Kyle Lutz of Gordonsville.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Beverly Beavers of Brevard, NC, Clare Dove and her husband, Wilbur of Vienna and Dolores Moore of Colonial Beach, one brother, Robert Reeves and his wife, Madeline of Orange, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Reeves Gill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. William C. Ryman officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA 23223 and/or the charity of your choice.
