Edwin Lee Green's Obituary
Edwin Lee Green was born in Gunnison, Mississippi, August 24, 1967, to parents, Eddie Lee and Ella Mae Green, both preceded him in death. He was raised in Elaine, Arkansas, to the son of a sharecropper.
Edwin’s heart and soul was humble, yet full of great ambition and aspirations to make his mark by being of service in this world. His love for his family and his forever passion in the kitchen built a foundation for him to do just that and pave the way for a legacy of service.
Edwin had a personality that would light up a room and his energy reflected through the atmosphere. If you knew Edwin, you would love him, or at least, remember him with a grin or smile.
Cooking had been a lifelong passion that presented great opportunities for Edwin. He embarked on some of the greatest experiences that led him to becoming a phenomenal chef. He put his heart and soul into smoking Bar-b-que meats and cooking Southern Foods. You could always find Edwin cooking to the sound of music; rhythm and they both brought greatness. Edwin loved feeding people and contributed meals to local sports teams, homeless shelters, and many who couldn’t afford meals. He was blessed to feed many, and they knew and loved him because of his gifts. Once heard described: The Man, The Myth, The Legend. “You were a lover of your craft, and it was evident in your passion for cooking. Your meals were cooked to perfection, and this was expressed, by your many customers, over the years. You have fought a great fight; have finished the race. With this final good-bye, the grief hangs heavy, like dark clouds around our hearts. Gone, but never forgotten…………Until we meet again………..”
