Edwin Adolph Estes' Obituary
Edwin Adolph Estes, 70, of Castleton died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond. He was born August 27, 1941 in Castleton to the late Edward C. and Mabel Blackwell Estes.
Mr. Estes served in the US Army for 2 years and was a Vietnam veteran. Edwin and his father started a mechanic shop in Estes and later became a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Thorn, one daughter, Macey Thorn, three sisters, Annie Clater, Catherine Cannon and Willie Cloud, all of Castleton, one brother, Marshall Estes of Pleasant Hill, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, John Estes and Dorothy Mauney.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the family, c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
