Edward Clare Blood's Obituary
Edward Clare Blood “Poppa B”, 66, of Culpeper, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1942 in Washington, DC to the late Dean and Katherine Rohr Blood.
Mr. Blood served our country in the United States Army as a SPC4. He was a member of the Salem Volunteer Fire Department and past member of the Exchange Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Ladona Stringfellow and her husband, Timothy of Culpeper, and his son, Walter Dean Blood and his wife, Karri of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include his siblings, George Blood, Lucille Wren, Jessie Martin and Raymond Blood and two grandchildren, Jesse and Devon Stringfellow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Blood.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with honors provided by the American Legion Post #330 and V.F.W. Post #2524 and Salem Fire Department will honor him with last tones.
