Edward Leon Terrell III's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Edward Leon Terrell III or affectionately known as “Dillon” by family and loved ones and a proud member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation and the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma.
It is with heavy hearts, yet fond memories, that we announce the passing of our beloved Dillon. A cherished father, a devoted son, a dear brother, a beloved uncle, a cherished cousin, and a loyal friend to many, Dillon's departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled.
Dillon was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He graced our lives with an abundance of love and an infectious laughter that could brighten even the darkest of days. He had a profound appreciation for the simple joys in life – the great outdoors, a cold beer, the thrill of fireworks, and the humble pleasure of tending to a fire, even if his idea of grilling often left us in fits of laughter.
Dillon was an adventurer at heart, never shying away from pushing the boundaries and dancing with danger throughout his life. He found solace and purpose up in the trees, where he lived as an arborist, skillfully caring for the health and aesthetics of the very trees that touched the sky. It was a profession he knew held its dangers, yet he approached it with skill and caution, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful landscapes and healthy trees.
“None of us know how much time we have left on this Earth. What is left in the end are your actions, the memories you left behind, and how you made people feel. And what you want to leave behind is for people to remember you with LOVE." By Bridget Nicole. These words now serve as a poignant reminder of the man Dillon was—a man who lived with purpose, left indelible memories, and made us all feel the warmth of his love.
Dillon's passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but we will forever cherish the moments we shared with him. As we remember him, let us honor his legacy by embracing the simple joys, living fully, and leaving a legacy of love for those who follow in our footsteps.
He is survived by his father, Edward Leon Terrell Jr., and stepmother, Bonnie Terrell; sisters Stephanie Rae Arndt and Kimberly Fawn Terrell; brothers Jeremiah Clayton Terrell, Jesse Terrell, and Steve Broyhill, along with his wife at heart, Pamela Michelle Barkley and her children, Aubrey Berlin Novosel and Avery Paige Novosel as well as his infant son, Blake William Terrell. His children from his previous marriage to Theresa include Canyon Hawk Terrell, Scarlett Noel Terrell, Cole Bear Terrell, Delilah Star Terrell, and Willa Vine Terrell. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
With heartfelt sorrow and enduring love, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Aunt Iona and Uncle Rodney Lamay for their unwavering support during this challenging period of our family's loss, as we bid farewell to our beloved Dillon. Your steadfast presence has been a tremendous source of comfort to our father during these trying times, and we genuinely appreciate your kindness and support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
To our cherished family, friends, and loved ones, we invite you to join us as we pay tribute to Dillon and bid him a fond farewell in Virginia. The service will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg.
