Edward Bennett Simms' Obituary
Edward Bennett Simms, 77, of Culpeper died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1936 in Washington DC to the late Clinton and Alice Bundick Simms.
Mr. Simms was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church and the Culpeper American Legion. He loved baseball and coaching.
He is survived by his wife, Frances E. Simms; one son, Charles S. Simms of Culpeper; and two siblings, Preston L. Simms and his wife, Joyce of Culpeper and Nancy T. Allen and her husband, Robert of Long Valley, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joel E. Simms; two sisters, Mary E. Dellnia and Lillian M. Simms and one nephew, Eugene C. Simms.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Culpeper National Cemetery with Pastor Brad Hales officiating. Military honors will be provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524 and Culpeper American Legion Post 330.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Reformation Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St. Culpeper, VA 22701
