Edward Carl Russell's Obituary
Edward Carl Russell, 87, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Edward was the oldest son of the late, Carl and Edna Russell. He was a World War II combat veteran. He was a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology. Edward’s greatest passion was how proud he was of his children.
Edward is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty J. Russell; his son, Jeremy Russell and his wife, Liz of California; his daughter, Amy Russell of Gloucester; three grandchildren, Katherine and Grant, both of California and Amber of Gloucester and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joanne Logan and his brother, Howard Russell.
Edward’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held at noon Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Richard Carbaugh officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Edward’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
