Edward Joseph Kelly
Edward Joseph Kelly, 67 of Rixeyville, VA died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. He was born December 21, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edward Joseph and Dorothy Hanley Kelly.
Mr. Kelly worked for Nassau County Police Department in New York for over 36 years. He was the 1st Precinct delegate to the Police Benevolent Association for 35 years. He loved reading, trivia, history, collecting antiques and baseball cards, going to shows and traveling. He will be remembered as wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice I. Kelly, his children, Lisa Kavanagh and her husband, Brian of East Meadow, NY, Stacey Harris of Massapequa Park, NY, Cade Kelly and his wife, Jennifer of Bear, DE, Suzanne George and her husband Gary of Massapequa Park, NY and his sister, Roni Petrone of Huntsville, AL.
Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, Brian Kavanagh, Kristen Kavanagh, Zachary Harris, Emily Harris, Aidan Kelly, Camryn Kelly, Steven George and Nicole George.
Services will be held in New York at a later date.
