Edward Franklin Frazier's Obituary
Edward Franklin Frazier, 76, of Culpeper died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at home. He was born March 14, 1939 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Woodrow and Anna May Wence but was raised by his grandfather, Benjamin Frazier.
Ed owned and operated Frazier’s Tree and Landscaping for over 40 years. He was a very active man who had a passion for hunting, fishing, watching the ponies run races, coon hunting and was a past member of the Rappahannock Coon Club. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors appreciating the wildlife, greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Ann Frazier; his siblings, Ruth Frazier, Charlie Frazier and Barbara Bishop who he thought of as a sister; eight children, Pamela J. Knight and her husband, Thomas of Elkwood, Patricia Ann Moore, Jerry Lynn Frazier and his wife, Anita of Louisa, Kay Frazier Broyles and her husband, James of Culpeper, Gordon (Bo) Wayne Frazier of Rappahannock, Jeffery Allen Frazier of Brandy Station, Randy Franklin Frazier of Culpeper and Timothy William Frazier and his significant other, Jami Hitt of Rixeyville; and six grandchildren, Melissa Stanley, Thomas Settle, Candi Moore, Cody Lacy and his significant other, Katlyn Wright, Dusty Broyles and Dylan Broyles.
Additional survivors include 11 great grandchildren, Cameron and Branson Stanley, Kaitlin, Trey and Thomas Settle, III, Nathan Myers, Jamie-Lynn Leake, Annabelle Lacy, Whitney Broyles, Shayna Herndon and Stella Vanscoy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Edward Frazier; three siblings, William C. Frazier, Annie W. Frazier and Mary E. Williams; and his great friend whom he considered a brother, H.C. Bishop.
The family would like to give a special thank you to UVA Culpeper Hospital for their caring and supportive staff; his caregiver, Ryan Brown; and two very close friends whom he considered his children, Gary Rice and Vicki Burch Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 420 Willow Lawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with Bishop John Genho officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Frazier, Gordon (Bo) Frazier, Timothy Frazier, Randy Frazier, Cody Lacy and James Broyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Rice, Greg Weaver and Thomas Knight.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
